Important Information from Nurse Turri:

If your student is feeling sick, please keep them home.  Take their temperature at home in the AM before departing for school.

Please have your physical examinations and required immunizations completed by your child’s pediatrician every year.  Students are required to have their physical exams completed and submitted to your school as new entrants but also in Kindergarten and grades 1, 3, and 5.

There is a grace period at the beginning of the school year to get your student’s physical exam and required immunizations up to date before your student may be excluded from school.

At age Eleven, your student is due for their required TDAP immunization.  Please have this completed within 30 days of their birthday.  Sometimes, it is due before the student enters sixth grade.

Allergies: Students must have an annual updated script/note for the current school year from their pediatrician stating what their allergies are and if any dietary considerations are needed.  If there are any changes regarding allergies, please make sure you update the school.

Medications: If your student will need medication while on campus, a MD prescription for the current school year must be provided to the school stating what the medication is, how often it should be given and any other considerations regarding it.

*The medication must be brought into the school by a parent/guardian or trusted adult of the parent.  Please refrain from sending the medication into school with your student.

*Medication should be labeled with the student’s name by the pharmacy.

*You must have your medication counted by school staff and sign a parental permission form for staff to administer the medication to your student.

*At the end of the school year an adult must come pick up the medication.

Covid Rapid Tests are readily available and are at no cost to families.  An adult must come to school to pick them up.  Please consent to having your student rapid tested for COVID while in school.  It is a great way to identify infection and mitigate the possibility of spread in school.  The swab is inserted less than an inch into the nose and is quick and painless.  Results are received in less than ten minutes.

Please make sure if your student has a change in their health condition to let the school know as soon as possible.  Have the doctor write a note regarding this change.

Please let the school know if your primary phone number changes.  It’s so important that we’re able to contact you if we need to.
